We’re passionate about supporting our local community. Over the years we’ve climbed mountains for the Donna Louise Trust, sailed (and sunk) dragon boats for Rudyard Sailability, and grown some impressive sets of whiskers (male colleagues only) for the Movember Foundation!
To help coordinate our charitable efforts, we’ve set up Grindeys Community Limited, a non-profit making company with a focus on fundraising and education.
Every year we nominate two local charities to support through a whole range of fundraising activities. In the last five years alone we’ve raised over £30,000 for some amazing causes, including Douglas Macmillan Hospice, Joe Gilligan Trust, Donna Louise Trust, Changes Mental Health & Wellbeing, Peter Pan Centre and Animal Lifeline.
In 2018 we’re supporting the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and the Peter Pan Centre for children with special needs.
We believe that education is an essential cornerstone of any strong community, helping an area to grow and prosper through its young people.
We actively support our local schools, colleges and universities through a range of activities including:
- work experience placements and student mentoring
- career workshops, guest lectures and educational seminars
- encouraging our people to add their legal expertise to local governing bodies
- utilising local educational facilities for business seminars and training events
