We can help with the key elements to divorce or dissolution; the divorce or dissolution itself, the separation of financial matters, childcare arrangements, property and your will.
Divorce or Dissolution
It is very rare that the two parties involved in divorce, dissolution or a relationship breakdown are in complete agreement about the future, which is why it sometimes becomes complicated. Whilst it is not our policy to encourage dispute, as your solicitor we do want to ensure that your best interests are protected. We will listen to what you wish as the final outcome of the divorce and then negotiate with that mind, whilst completing all the legal documentation on your behalf.
Financial Matters
Money and finance is never an easy matter and is often the cause of much dispute. We will aim to negotiate the best financial settlement available to you in the circumstances. We want to ensure, at the end of the proceedings, that you are in a position to make a fresh start without fear of future claims being made against you or your property.
Childcare Arrangements
When a family is separating, planning the future of any children involved is difficult. With whom and where will they reside? What contact will take place? Where will they be educated? Will they keep the same name? We can help find the best resolution for you and your children, always ensuring their best interests are kept at the heart of the negotiations.
Property and Wills
Should there be property involved in the divorce or dissolution which needs to be sold, or transferred into the sole name of one of the parties, our conveyancing solicitors are available to help. We would also recommend that at the earliest possible time during the divorce or dissolution process you create, or update, your will. Grindeys' Will team offer a 30 minute free, no obligation Will consultation to explain the options available to you.
