New Build Property PurchaseThe Quality Conveyancing Logo

When buying a new build property there are a number of additional points to consider when compared to purchasing a pre-existing property. You will often be buying “off plan”, the completion date may not be fixed when contracts are exchanged and you will need to know what, if any, warranties are in place. The builder may impose a short deadline by which you must exchange to ensure that you do not lose your reservation fee and they may offer a number of incentives such as shared equity or additional fixtures and fittings.

The purchase of a new build property is more complex than purchasing a pre-existing property so, you need to ensure your conveyancing solicitor is experienced at dealing with this type of purchase. The team at Grindeys regularly deal with new build purchases and have a good working relationship with many of the large and small building companies. You can be sure of comprehensive service.
